AS/ A2 Levels

• AS-level(Year 1)
  The prerequisite for entry to the first year is generally 5 passes at GCSE level (Grade C or above) or a suitable equivalent.
  For some AS-level subjects a pass in the same subject at GCSE is essential.
  It is usual for most students to take four subjects at AS level.
  This typically includes a subject such as English, Mathematics or Sciences.
• The A2 Programme (Year 2)
  It is necessary for students to have completed 4 subjects at AS Level. Students starting their second year of A-levels will generally select three
  out of their original 4 subjects at A2 level.

Some students may decide to choose an additional AS subject.
